2006 VIEW Cabernet-Merlot
The medium-dark ruby color highlights this wine’s youthfulness and both nose and flavor attest to a long future. Look for concentration and notes of ripe cassis, coffee, vanilla, mint and a suggestion of caramel. There are mouthfilling tannins that will evolve over time and lots of fruit to balance it out. There is lots of complexity in this wine and a long finish of coffee, chocolate and caramel. This wine will definitely benefit from decanting over the rest of 2009 and will hold the course for at least another five years. A truly great wine with beef, venison, game meat, as well as aged cheddar
