The embodiment of our commitment to excellence. Grapes were hand sorted and the wine gravity fed to French oak barrels to age throughout the summer of 2008. This wine captures the unique terroir of Hillier, with a distinctive earthiness balanced by ripe summer cherries.

Accolades: "Made from 100% county fruit, this wines is a tribute to PEC's unique terroir. Red and black cherry-berry fruit, oak spice, dried tarragon, earth and mineral notes on it bouquet. It has great fruit " fatness" and a lovely, plush texture over the palate with fresh acidity and soft-sweet tannins rounding out its body. Long, soft berry fruit and exotic spice-tainted finish. Pretty seductive to me. Great choice for a blind date. Try with rare-slow roasted venison loin in fig-chocolate-Pinot Noir sauce." 4 + stars out of 5
